Chef de Partie

We are looking for a Chef De Partie to join our Deli kitchen team on a 12 month FTC.

Based in Borough Road, the Ministry Deli is open to members from breakfast to afternoon, creating a unique offering that covers all walks of life. We are steadily growing our in-house catering offer for meeting rooms and larger events.

You will be familiar with high-quality ingredients to create delicious salads, sandwiches, soups, and other deli classics every single day.

You’re a passionate food enthusiast with a deep understanding of flavour, always eager to explore the latest trends and global flavours.

You are someone who has experience in event catering, coupled with exceptional organisational abilities and a keen grasp of top-tier service and timing.

You will be flexible and adapt to the needs of the business on a day-to-day basis. No two days are the same.

You effortlessly navigate the kitchen, excelling in every role and knowing exactly when and where to lend a helping hand.

Our core hours are Monday to Friday, but flexibility is key. You’ll need to be available for early starts and finishes, with occasional evening and weekend shifts for events.

You’ll embody motivation, reliability, and a keen eye for attention to detail, driving excellence in everything you do.

Your standards will be second to none, ensuring an immaculately clean and well-organised working environment.

Openness to feedback is essential; you’ll work hard to refine and develop our offering to elevate the member experience.

Hard work, effective communication pairing with a love for delicious food and service, and a good sense of humour are non-negotiable.

This role offers an incredible chance for personal and professional growth, fostering continuous enhancement within The Ministry’s Deli.

ABOUT US:

Ministry of Sound opened in 1991 in a disused bus garage in a forgotten corner of South London. It was the first nightclub in the UK to have a 24-hour licence, didn’t serve alcohol and featured an earth-shaking sound system in a specially constructed dance box. We went on to become the world’s largest independent record company (now owned by Sony) and stage giant dance events, including one for 50,000 people at the Millennium Dome.

We were pioneers in electronic music and have a history of taking risks, innovation, and colourful and creative marketing. As a business we don’t take ourselves too seriously, like to laugh and have fun, but we have high standards, a relentless attention to detail and the continuous improvement of our product, and we work hard as a team. We hate cliché, doing things the way others do and continuously seek to differentiate our brands and products almost as a point of pride.

In 2018, we opened The Ministry, a workspace run as a member’s club, in a 50,000 sq. ft Victorian warehouse in SE1. The design is relaxed but functional with a bar, opening windows, an outside courtyard and plenty of space to sit, relax, work and socialise – everything you wouldn’t expect to find in a standard office. There’s great home cooked F&B, a state-of-the-art gym and fitness studio with daily classes, together with a cultural and business events programme.
