In May, Sober Girl Society approached Ministry Venues with plans to host their inaugural sober festival and rave. Given the venue’s association with dance music and good times, it seemed like the perfect location for the organisers to hold the event.

The festival took place from 10 am to 7 pm and featured various activities, including an empowering dance workshop in The Box, a breathwork workshop, and two panel talks on sobriety and self-confidence. Additionally, there was a ‘zen den’ and ‘pamper lounge’ in The Lounge, where festival guests could enjoy a selection of alcohol-free cocktails while networking.

The courtyard was opened and filled with chairs and bean bags, providing a relaxing space between sessions or an opportunity to participate in beauty and spa treatments in The Loft.

Towards the end of the event, The Box took centre stage with DJs Ashley James playing throwback and girl power songs, followed by Zoe spinning club classics, while guests  showcased their dance moves from the workshop.
